Construction is underway! At least one lane in each direction is open during this work. Delays are likely, especially during peak commute times along the road and at the intersection. East- and westbound travel lanes shift slightly from north to south between 1200 West and Redwood Road. Plan for impacts by leaving a few minutes early or adding extra time to reach your destination, and consider using alternate routes.

 

Current Work and Impacts:

Redwood Road - 1000 W

Curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway, and asphalt replacements have been completed on the south side of the road in this section, travel lanes in this section have been shifted to the south side of the road to accommodate work beginning on the north side.

Work on the north side of the road through September includes:

• Asphalt removal and replacement

• Concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, and driveway removal and replacement.

 

Here’s what you can expect during this work:

• One travel lane in each direction will be available.

• The sidewalk on the north side of the road is closed. Pedestrians will need to use the sidewalk on the south side.

• Intermittent driveway access closures are anticipated during times when crews are actively removing or replacing concrete. Properties anticipated to be impacted by driveway closures will be notified 48 hours in advance of any closure.

• Backman Elementary School crossings are available at 1400 West and the Jordan River Bridge.

Storm drain installation has wrapped up in this section. Curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway, and asphalt replacement has begun and will take place through September.
